The story of homeopathy began in the 19th century Germany, when physician Samuel Hahnemann became disillusioned with the crude medical practices of his day, such as: bleeding, purging, burning the skin with cemicals and closing with untested medicines.
He began a quest for harmless cures that eventurally led him to the Law of Similars: that is, the theory that "like cures like". Using himself as a guinea pig, he discovered that many natural substances which, in large amounts, produce desease symptoms in a healthy person, also cure those symptoms in a sick person if given in small amounts. Such substances simulate the body's own reactive processes to remove the causes of those symptoms. In the process, unwanted side effects are eliminated, and the body is allowed to heal itself.
Today, homeopathy is performed widely throughout the world. In the US, homeopathic remedies are recognized as over-the-counter medicines by the FDA, which regulates their manufacturre and marketing.
NSP homeopathic medicines are formulated in strict accordance with traditional guidlelines and methods. Only the highest quality ingredients are used.
